Our medical assistant programs are designed to prepare you for real-life scenarios in the medical assistant career field. These training programs can teach key skills such as taking patients’ vital signs (such as blood pressure), supporting other medical staff, preparing blood samples, and more. You can also expect to learn key administrative skills such as recording medical histories, updating patient records, and more.

Our Programs

Medical Assistant Associate in Occupational Studies

The Medical Assistant associate degree can be completed in about two years, and students take courses such as Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Law & Ethics, Cardiovascular Care & Procedures, and more.

Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate

For students who want a quicker start to their medical assistant career, most students can expect to complete the Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate in as little as 14 months.

Learning Environments

Some of the instruction will take place in a lecture classroom, while other parts of the program take place in a lab where you can practice the skills you will need in the real world.

Then students will attend clinicals which can take place in a hospital, doctor’s office, or other medical facility.

You will take the skills you’ve learned in your medical assistant program and really put them into practice.

Certifications the Programs Can Prepare You For

If you successfully complete our accredited Medical Assistant programs, you can take national certifying exams through the National Healthcare Association (NHA). These certifications include:

EKG Certification (CET)
Phlebotomy Certification (CPT)
National Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA)

*Certification as a Medical Assistant is dependent on your successful completion of the National Certification exam(s)
